The lookout at Tully Falls is one of natures best infinity pools with sweeping views over the dramatic jungle landscape. The view of the gorge is unreal and seeing it in the morning as the fog slowly clears, lighting up the whole valley, is such a magical experience. The infinity pool naturally carved into the waterfalls edge makes this one of the most unique views in Queensland. Just remember to take extreme caution if you decide to swim in the pool or walk near the edge as it is a 300 metre drop. Use common sense and judge yourself if the conditions are safe, if you're not sure then don't risk it.
To get to the infinity pool at the edge of the waterfall, park at the Tully Gorge Lookout area. At the carpark there is a viewing platform and on the right is the short 800 metre walking track. Just before the track ends, there is a small pathway through the shrubbery on the left that will take you to the rocky platform. Make your way along the rocks towards the waterfalls edge and you'll come across the infinity pool.
During the wet season (December to March), the falls roar over the edge of the gorge, dropping into the deep valley below. This will make it very unsafe to explore along the top of the waterfall so we don't recommend trying to access the infinity pool during this time.
