Cooinda Lodge is located right in the heart of Kakadu National Park and makes for the perfect base as you explore this incredible region. They offer a wide range of accommodation options to suit every kind of traveller, from luxury safari villas to lodge style rooms and spacious campsites. The resort is also well equipped with two swimming pools, a restaurant and bistro, a general store and a fuel station, so you'll have everything you need in one place.

We stayed in one of their luxury safari villas and absolutely loved it. Tucked away at the back of the property along the edge of the bushland, it felt like a private little retreat. The villa was super spacious and came with its own outdoor bath on the veranda which was such a dreamy spot to unwind after a big day of exploring.

There are also lodge style rooms, glamping tents and a large campground with both powered and unpowered sites available, so there’s something for every kind of traveller.

Having the onsite restaurant, bar and bistro was such a bonus too. The food was really good especially considering how remote this part of the country is. There’s only one other place to eat within Kakadu and that’s in the small town of Jabiru, so having everything on hand at Cooinda made things really easy.
