Mount Ngungun is one of the most popular hikes in the Glass House Mountains and offers breathtaking views from the summit. Once you reach the top, you’ll be rewarded with 360-degree views of the surrounding Glass House Mountains, including Mount Tibrogargan and Mount Beerwah. Sunset is particularly magical, with the sky lighting up in shades of orange and pink over the mountains and hinterland.

The trail starts from Fullertons Road, where there’s a designated car park (which can fill up quickly on weekends, so arrive early). The hike is about 2.8 km return and takes around 1 hour to complete, depending on fitness level. Most of the track is relatively easy. It starts with a gentle incline and is only harder towards the top when it becomes steeper and more rocky.
