Green Patch Beach in Jervis Bay is another favourite of mine that a lot of people overlook when visiting the region. This stunning stretch of white sand and turquoise water within Booderee National Park has calm, clear water, making it the perfect place to set up for the day. The beach is surrounded by coastal bushland, adding to the natural beauty. On the same stretch of sand, just a little further away is Iluka Beach, which is a great alternative if it becomes too busy.
Right next to the beach is Green Patch campground which is an amazing spot for camping but is quite expensive as you're just meters away from the ocean. They have all the amenities you need, including fresh water, toilets, hot showers, and barbecues, making the stay more comfortable. Being in the national park, you’ll often see kangaroos and plenty of native wildlife around the area. Just be sure to book your site in advance, especially during the busy summer months.
Park entry fees apply on top of camping fees. A 1-day vehicle pass into Booderee National Park is $20.
