Gantheaume Point is one of the most scenic spots in Broome, where the deep red cliffs meet the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. The contrast in colours is absolutely breathtaking and makes it a beautiful place to explore, snap some photos or simply sit back and take in the view. Scattered along the rocky coastline are plenty of natural rock pools, perfect for a quick dip on a warm day.

While crocodile sightings at beaches in Broome are rare, this is still croc country so always check the local signage and take precautions before getting in the water.

One of the more unique things to look out for at Gantheaume Point are the dinosaur footprints, which date back over 130 million years. They’re only visible during very low tide, so make sure to time your visit if you want to see them.
