These hot springs right in the middle of Katherine are a little gem and the perfect place to stop and relax while passing through town. They’re free to visit, with a large carpark and just a short stroll down to the water.

The natural thermal pools are crystal clear and perfect for a refreshing and relaxing dip. As you wander along the boardwalk, you’ll come across a few different pools tucked along the way, so you can choose whichever one looks the most inviting or has the fewest people. The larger pool at the top was our favourite and was surrounded by trees, making feel like a small oasis.

The water is more warm than hot, but still such a lovely way to unwind, especially after a long drive.
