Burleigh Hill is one of the most iconic spots on the Gold Coast. This place is great for a relaxed afternoon with epic views. Located at Burleigh Head National Park, the grassy hill overlooks Burleigh Beach and the surfers, making it the perfect spot for a picnic or to catch an incredible sunset. It's a very popular spot in the afternoons and you'll often find the hill packed with people watching the sunset.
There's a laid back vibe to Burleigh, which is what I love most. We always go here to watch surfers riding the waves below. If you’re up for a walk, the Burleigh Headland track winds through the national park and offers stunning coastal views, connecting to Tallebudgera Creek which is another great swimming spot. The beach is close to plenty of cafes and restaurants that are all within walking distance, so bring a picnic blanket, grab some takeaway from nearby cafes, and settle in for one of the Gold Coast’s best chill out spots. Tarte Bakery and Cafe is an absolute favourite of mine and is great for some amazing bagels and sweets. The Tropic at Burleigh Pavilion is another popular beachside restaurant that we always find ourselves at when we are in the area.
