Coral Bay is a tiny coastal town with just the basics, including a Foodworks, a couple of restaurants, a bakery, two caravan parks and a couple of hotels. Although it’s small, it’s the natural beauty of the coastline that makes this place so special. Sitting right on the edge of the Ningaloo Reef, Coral Bay is home to stunning coral gardens and an abundance of marine life that are all just metres from the shore. All you need is a snorkel and you’re good to go.

If you’re keen to explore more, there are plenty of tours that’ll take you out to swim with manta rays, whales and even whale sharks depending on the time of year. Whale sharks are from March to July and humpback whales can be seen passing through the Ningaloo Reef during their seasonal migration from July to October. The town is also known for its shark sanctuary, where you can spot dozens of reef sharks cruising through the shallows.
