Wallaman Falls is one of the most jaw-dropping waterfalls in Australia where you can experience the raw natural beauty of the tallest waterfall in the country. The massive 268 metre drop will take your breath away, especially if you decide to hike down to the base for a closer look.

There is a lookout platform near the parking area that offers breathtaking views of the falls and the gorge. It’s easy to access and perfect for a quick photo stop. For a real adventure and to experience the falls in all it's natural beauty, I'd recommend hiking the Djyinda Track down to the pool at the base of the waterfall. It's a 3.2km return hike that will take roughly 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. The track is steep and rocky so you'll need good shoes and a moderate fitness level to be able to make your way back up.

Once you're at the bottom you'll be mesmerised by the sheer power and height of the waterfall. The mist will spray you from so far back, that you'll be getting wet regardless if you decide to hop in the pool or not.
