Every year, from the middle of October to November, the streets around Singleton in the Hunter Valley come to life with an explosion of beautiful colours. During this time the jacaranda trees will bloom a vibrant purple colour.

The main spot to see them is along Rawcliffe Street which is where you'll see the trees line the streets, creating a stunning purple canopy that’s perfect for a scenic stroll or magical photo opportunities.

I actually stumbled across a massive jacaranda tree as I was exploring the town looking for more unique angles. This tree was low but more than double the size of the others. The best part is that you're able to get in the tree and up close to the purple flowers unlike the other taller trees. I was able to get some really creative angles and the photos from this particular spot are some of my favourite I've taken. I've pinned the specific location of this tree on the map which is on Dr Maffey Drive, right beside the building.
