Birubi Beach is one of our favourites in Port Stephens and it really has it all. If you don’t have a 4WD to explore the sand dunes, you can park at this beach and walk along the sand to reach them. The beach itself is huge with plenty of space to find your own spot. Sunset is our favourite time to come as you can watch the camels walk along the shore with the dunes in the background and the sky lighting up in beautiful colours. Birubi feels incredibly unique and there’s nowhere else quite like it in NSW.

At one end you’ll find rock pools, and the beach stretches so far you won’t even see the other end in the distance. There’s also good surf here and it’s dog friendly, making it one of our go-to spots in the area.
