Wave Rock is a unique natural formation that looks just like a giant ocean wave frozen in time. It stands about 15 meters high and stretches over 100 meters long, making for an impressive sight you won’t find anywhere else.

The area is easy to explore, with a short walk from the carpark to the base of the rock. You can also climb to the top for a different perspective of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, there are other interesting rock formations like Hippo’s Yawn to check out.

Entry to Wave Rock costs $12 per vehicle. While it’s not a must visit, Wave Rock is still a worthwhile stop if you’re travelling through the Wheatbelt region. It works well as a break between Perth and Esperance.
