What to order:

Order the bánh mì thịt nướng. The pork is grilled fresh over charcoal right in front of you, so it’s smoky, juicy, and slightly caramelised. It’s tucked into a warm, crusty baguette with crisp cucumber and just enough sauce to keep it balanced.

Why it’s here:

This is one of those Old Quarter spots you’d walk straight past if you didn’t know better. The smell gives it away before you see it. It’s proper street barbecue, cooked low and slow on skewers, eaten perched on tiny stools, and it captures exactly why Hanoi street food is so addictive.

Tip:

Go in the evening when the grill is fired up and the street feels most alive. Eat it straight away while the pork is hot and smoky. Don’t overthink it, just order, sit, and enjoy.
