Why I Love Québec City
I absolutely adore Québec City! It’s such a cute, historical gem, though it can get a little crowded, especially in the heart of Old Québec. I’ve visited multiple times, and it’s one of my favorite cities to explore. The cobblestone streets, the stunning architecture, and the cozy vibe make it feel like you’re stepping into a winter fairytale.
My Top Spots
To get the most out of your visit, definitely unlock the full map to discover all the incredible activities and local favorites! I've got my own list of must-visit spots, and having lived and worked in tourism here, I can tell you there’s something magical about this place no matter how many times you go. Québec City, the capital of the Canadian province of Quebec, is a charming and historic city with a population of around 550,000. Founded by explorer Samuel de Champlain in 1608, it boasts the only fortified city walls north of Mexico. With its mix of old-world charm and modern amenities, Québec City offers visitors a unique blend of French culture, stunning architecture, and picturesque landscapes.
Winter Magic in Québec
My favorite time to visit is during the winter—the city comes alive with events like the Carnaval de Québec, the Christmas markets, and endless opportunities for winter sports. It’s the perfect place to embrace the cozy winter vibes and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Whether you’re skating on outdoor rinks, sipping mulled wine at the market, or just strolling through the historic streets, there’s always something special to do in Québec City
