My Experience at Les Grands-Jardins
Les Grands-Jardins is truly magical in autumn, with vibrant colors painting the landscape. The Mont du Lac des Cygnes hike is an absolute must for its stunning views of the mountains, the plateau, and even the St. Lawrence River in the distance.
What makes this park even more special is its diverse landscapes—from taiga to tundra to lush boreal forests.
The loop trail took us about 5 hours, starting with Sentier Le Piou for a gradual ascent through beautiful terrain. With 12km and 480m of elevation gain, it’s a rewarding challenge for outdoor enthusiasts.
The highlight? Spotting a porcupine in a tree! Nature always has surprises. Whether for the views, the wildlife, or the peaceful trails, this hike is an unforgettable experience—especially during the peak of autumn colors.
