Explore Campbell River's 180m long wooden Discovery Pier and enjoy amazing views of the harbour, Quadra Island, ocean and mountains. Keep your eyes peeled for marine wildlife. We've spotted seals and sealions here. Some lucky visitors even see orcas!

Opening in 1987, this was Canada’s first saltwater fishing pier. Fishing rod holders, bait stands and fishing cleaning tables are all available for public use, with rod and tackle rentals available in the warmer months.

To fish, be sure to get a Tidal Waters licence first. Check the government website for more details. You must hold a printed licence to legally fish.
