Until 2017, the community Woss was the headquarters of the Englewood Railway, the last operating logging railroad in all of North America.

To honour this historic railway, Western Forest Products’ Steam Locomotive #113 is now displayed at Woss Heritage Park. The park also features a kiosk with interpretive signage, along with a very clean flush washroom and covered picnic area. It's much better place to stop for a road break than any of the nearby rest areas!

Logging remains a key industry in Woss and many other communities on North Vancouver Island, though today, the logs are transported by road using logging trucks.
