Sproat Lake Provincial Park is a family friendly destination with beach access, just 15 minutes drive from Port Alberni. There are two main campgrounds, with the 'Lower' one being located closer to the lake. All of the sites are available for reservation three months in advance via the BC Parks website.

This park also has a handful of walk-in (tent only) campsites located in a forest setting very close to the lake. These first come, first serve campsites don't have a lot of privacy but just a short walk from the prehistoric petroglyphs that make Sproat Lake famous (see separate listing).

From 2026, non-BC residents will be charged an additional $20 per stay, per camping group, at provincial campgrounds.
