Just twenty minutes drive from Port Renfrew, Lizard Lake Recreation Site is an ideal place from which to search for the biggest trees in the area. Avatar Grove, home to the gnarliest trees in Canada, is just a short drive away.

The campground itself is shady with well spaced spots. There are 19 vehicle accessible campsites and 8 walk-in (tent only) sites. Two floating docks provide easy swimming and paddling experiences. A hiking trail circles the lake.

Just over half of the campsites are available to reserve in advance, with a 60 day rolling window.
