The fairly new Pacific Yew Recreation Site is one of the most spacious and well managed Vancouver Island campgrounds. There are 29 spots, with no. 23 and 25 having the best lake views.

The campground is just north of Campbell River, though the Menzies Mainline access can be quite bumpy. Situated at the bottom of Mohun Lake (part of the Sayward Canoe Route), Pacific Yew is well located for paddlers and boaters.

Just over half of the sites are available for reservation, with a 60 day rolling window. The other sites are first come, first serve.
