Right at the base of the Schilthorn cable car in Stechelberg, you’ll find Mürrenbachfall—the tallest waterfall in Switzerland. It plunges nearly 417 meters (1,368 ft) straight down the cliff, making it even higher than the famous Staubbach Falls in Lauterbrunnen village.
The vibe: Wild and powerful, especially in spring and early summer when snowmelt feeds the falls. You don’t need a hike—this one thunders right above the parking lot.
With kids: Easy stop if you’re already heading to the Schilthorn or riding the cable car up to Mürren. Kids will love spotting paragliders soaring near the falls.
