From Palmerston to Waikanae
In this itinerary I'll share an insight into hiking through the Tararua Ranges. This is the itinerary I personally used on the TA but should be referred to as a guide only. This is a very rough section of forest tramping, notorious for bad weather - many hikers may prefer to move slower through this section so please make sure to do your own research to walk at a pace you feel safe and comfortable with (:
