These beautiful extensive gardens are perfect to escape into nature for a while. The greenhouse houses a large collection of tropical and rare plants and feels as if you're walking through a rainforest! There's also a seated area halfway round where you can sit to have a rest while looking into the orchid section and even eat your own lunch or snacks if you've brought your own (we chose to have our lunch here). Then, you'll continue through the waterlily and cactus area before heading back outside to the rose gardens.
Depending on when you visit, there's different gardens to visit - whether that's the plum and cherry blossom in spring or the maple tree forest in autumn/fall. There's also plenty of quiet trails to follow off the main path where you can jump over stepping stones across a woodland stream and see fish and herons.
