Here, you honestly wouldn't think you were in Tokyo. It's a very small village with little to no shops/cafes but the nature...come for the nature :) We visited 2 different waterfalls during our day trip here (both a short bus journey away from each other) and we were the only tourists (and people) there pretty much the whole time. The village is surrounded by green mountains and really gives you an insight into rural life in Japan. It's also only about 1 hour 30 mins from central Tokyo itself (you take a 1-hour train followed by a 30-minute local bus).
