Purakaunui Bay Campsite is a perfect spot to stay if you love secluded beaches and waking up to the sound of waves.

Perched above the wild shores of the Catlins, this campsite offers a front-row seat to the untamed beauty of the Southern Ocean. With its picturesque beach and rocky outcrops, Purakanui Bay is perfect for beach photography and is also fairly close to Purakanaui Falls (mentioned in this guide). The campsite, surrounded by native bush and coastal vegetation, provides a rustic yet comfortable base for exploring the area.

Facilities such as fire pits (except under fire bans) and toilets are available on site. Bookings required.
