The view of Castle Rock in the Coromandel from the top of this roadside hill is beautiful especially during golden hour at sunrise. You will come across this location along State Highway 25 heading from Kuaotunu just before you take the turn off to Whangaparoa.

There is no parking available but there is a small driveway pullover that you could park in briefly while you take a photo (not big enough for a large campervan however).

You'll need your zoom lens (70-200mm or similar) for this spot as Castle Rock is quite far away in the distance.
