West Maroon Pass is a must-do hike connecting Aspen to Crested Butte in Colorado. This 11-mile trail offers stunning views of the iconic Maroon Bells and other peaks, making it a bucket-list adventure for hikers. With an elevation gain of around 3,000 feet, the trail winds through the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness Area, offering a mix of rocky terrain, aspen groves, and glacial valleys. Whether you're up for a challenging thru-hike or a shorter out-and-back trip, West Maroon Pass promises unforgettable scenery and a true wilderness experience.

If you're hiking to Crested Butte, you need to organize transportation from the trailhead into town. You can spend a night in Crested Butte and hike back on East Maroon Pass or organize transportation.
