The Ute Trailhead parking area in Aspen, Colorado is the starting point for a challenging 2-mile out-and-back trail that leads hikers up to Ute Rock. The trail offers punishingly steep climbs but rewards with stunning scenery along the ridge. It's a popular spot for hiking and running, so you'll likely meet other outdoor enthusiasts on the way. Don't forget to leash your furry friends if you bring them along!

You can keep going for 2 extra miles to the top of Aspen mountain. And hey, if your knees need a break after the climb, there's a free gondola ride down for walkers.
