Praia da Fajã is a picturesque black sand beach known for its natural beauty, searching for shells, sea glass, and often times surfing opportunities.

Parking and Accessibility: Yes. Upon reaching the area, you'll find a designated parking space near the beach.

Restrooms: Yes.

Swimming and Surfing: The strong currents and heavy swell can make swimming challenging. Only experienced swimmers should consider entering the water, and it's essential to remain vigilant.

Please note that there are no lifeguards on duty, and the beach often experiences a heavy swell, especially from August onward. It's advisable to exercise caution when entering the water.

Shell Collecting: You can find all sorts of shells on this beach and often time a nautilus shell or two!

Food and Nearby Facilities: There is no on-site food vendors or restaurants directly at Praia da Fajã. It's recommended to bring your own snacks and refreshments. Alternatively, you can visit nearby villages such as Praia do Norte, where local eateries may be available.

Additional Activities: For hiking enthusiasts, the Rocha da Fajã Trail offers a scenic route around the area. This trail provides an opportunity to explore the natural beauty surrounding Praia da Fajã.
