Franschhoek is a picturesque small town in the Western Cape of South Africa. It carries a unique history, having been settled by French Huguenots in 1688 who gave it its unique name, which means "French Corner". The surrounding area is home to many popular wineries, making it a popular destination for food and wine lovers alike. Its Central Main Street has many interesting boutiques and galleries, providing an exciting shopping experience. With nearby attractions such as the Huguenot Monument and the Franschhoek Wine Tram, visitors will never run out of things to do in this vibrant and much-loved town.
