Betty's Bay is a scenic small town in the Overberg District of South Africa's Western Cape province. Located 100 kilometers from Cape Town, this town attracts many tourists due to its idyllic location under the Kogelberg Mountains, with an ocean drive between Pringle Bay and Kleinmond. In 1912, it was established as a formal whaling station until the 1930s; today, remains can still be seen at Stony Point. The settlement is named after Betty Youlden, daughter of the first developer of the area Arthur Youlden. Furthermore, Betty's Bay contains the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden and an African penguin colony. It also boasts mild temperatures throughout the year and constant wind and rain, making it ideal for outdoor activities.
