Monkeyland is an award-winning primate sanctuary located in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. It is the world’s first free-roaming multi-species primate sanctuary and offers a unique experience for visitors of all ages to learn more about primates and their habitat. Its mission is to educate and foster understanding of their threats and challenges. Visitors can come face-to-face with over 550 primates including Squirrel Monkeys, Capuchin Monkeys, Gibbons, Lemurs, Langurs and more on one of their hour-long guided “monkey safaris”. There are also opportunities to donate directly towards preserving the sanctuary by buying a square meter (or more) of forest, their conservation initiatives, as well as visiting their shop and volunteering.
