Sandfly Bay is a spectacular bay located 15 km east of Dunedin, New Zealand. The sandy beach surrounded by dramatic cliffs and towering dunes makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers. Its wild beauty combined with the stunning views of the Pacific Coast make it a perfect spot to explore and have fun. The bay is home to a large colony of yellow-eyed penguins which are often seen emerging from the sea in the evenings. It is also a haven for sandflies so visitors should come dressed appropriately if they wish to spend time here. In addition, the surrounding area is great for leisure activities such as tramping, mountain biking or even riding old skateboards down the sand dunes!
