A sandy isthmus, clear turquoise water, and untouched coastal paths create one of the most striking landscapes near Saint-Tropez. This is where the coastline feels raw, open, and far from the usual Riviera image.

Cap Taillat, located in Ramatuelle on the Saint-Tropez peninsula, is a protected natural site known for its wild scenery and scenic coastal trails. Surrounded by the caps of Lardier and Camarat, it stands out for its narrow stretch of sand connecting the mainland to the rocky headland.

The area offers over 2.5 km of coastal paths, with options to explore both the shoreline and the inland forest. Along the way, you’ll find quiet coves, viewpoints over the Mediterranean, and a mix of dense vegetation and open sea views.

The walk is accessible but requires proper footwear in some sections. The reward is a series of clear-water beaches and panoramic viewpoints, making it one of the most rewarding outdoor experiences in the Var.

👉 Local Tip: Bring water and go early. There’s no shade on parts of the trail, and the beaches are at their best before the midday crowds arrive.
