Zelenci is a tiny, emerald-colored spring and protected wetland near Kranjska Gora that works best as a short, peaceful stop rather than a full-day outing. You’ll find a small car park a short, flat walk from a wooden boardwalk and viewing platform, and the loop is usually only 10 to 20 minutes, so plan it into a half-hour slot. The boardwalk can be narrow and muddy after rain, so wear shoes you don’t mind getting damp; there are no cafés or public restrooms on site. Go early or late for the best light and fewer people, and combine the visit with nearby Kranjska Gora or a drive up Vršič Pass.
