One of Slovenia’s most iconic scenes, this hilltop church offers a perfect layered-mountain composition with the Kamnik–Savinja Alps in the background. It’s best at sunrise, especially on foggy autumn mornings when the valley fills with low mist and the church appears to “float” above it. A telephoto lens (100–400mm) works best for compressing the hills and mountains, while a wider lens captures the full landscape. Access is easy by car, and several pull-off spots around the ridge give slightly different angles — explore a bit to find the cleanest foreground and the strongest mountain alignment.
