Andersön Nature Reserve is a beautiful spot in Sweden where you can kick back and enjoy some quality time in nature. This nature reserve is very popular with both locals and tourists. You can hike, take a swim in Lake Storsjön, or grill some food while enjoying the warmth of a cozy campfire.

There are many places where you can grill, so make sure to pack some sausages to blend in with the locals. If one of the fireplaces is occupied, you can easily find another available one across the island.

When you drive towards the parking lot at the end of the road (in the middle of the nature reserve), you’ll find dry toilets and an information board about the area. There are also several fireplaces within a short walking distance from the parking lot, but these are the most popular spots.

If you’d like a more private experience, I suggest walking to the shelter (follow the sign). There is another fireplace near a small beach. If you continue hiking along the shoreline, you’ll find even more fireplaces.

Due to the popularity of this nature reserve, the firewood tends to run out quickly, so make sure to bring your own.

To protect nature, please only make fires in designated areas using proper firewood—not wood from dead trees or fallen branches.

Note: Camping is not permitted.
