Långbryggan, Rättvik’s iconic long pier, is one of Dalarna’s most famous landmarks and stretches an impressive 628 meters out into Lake Siljan. Originally built in the 1890s for steamships to dock, it is now a beloved spot for both locals and visitors.

Walking along the pier gives you a fantastic perspective over Siljan and the surrounding hills. It’s a popular place for swimming in summer, catching the sunset, or simply enjoying the peaceful lake views year-round. In winter, when the ice is thick enough, this is also the starting point for the long-distance ice skating track on Lake Siljan.

A stroll on Långbryggan is a must when visiting Rättvik. Are you more a beach person? Next to the pier, you can also find a beach to relax on warm summer days or have a crisp morning dip in the colder seasons.
