Shiraume is an authentic 140-year-old ryokan located in Kyoto's beautiful Gion Geisha District. It offers traditional rooms with tatami mats and futon mattresses spread out on the floors, providing visitors with a taste of old Japan. They serve an amazing Kaiseki dinner - my recommendation is the Temari-zushi 手毬寿司 dinner. Reservations are available ONLY through their website (English).
