One of the most amazing activities in Nara. There are several gates at the foot of the hill, the entrance is the WHITE booth (check the second photo) located here. The wooden booth in the third photo is an exit, don't use it as an entrance (the view is much worth).

You'll reach the trail's most stunning spot in just 20-25 minutes - the panoramic view of Todai-ji Temple and Nara city. If you decide to go further to the top, it'll take an additional 20 minutes. But honestly, the view from the top isn't that special, so it's better to stop halfway in my opinion.
