A very beautiful temple tucked away from the main streets that also has an observation deck with a great view of Arashiyama and the rest of Kyoto.

There are two ways to enter the Temple. I recommend going in through the hidden alley entrance - Google Maps location, which is especially stunning during sakura or momiji seasons. On your way out, you can go through the same alley or go all the way down the stairs through the 📍 main gates.

Lots of stairs, not stroller-friendly.
