The bottom station of a ropeway leads to the top of a nearby mountain, offering a spectacular view of Kinosaki onsen town.

The entire ropeway has three stations: bottom, middle, and top.

Various ticket options are available (please refer to the attached photo), but I recommend getting the return ticket to the top (the most expensive one). With this ticket, you can get off at the middle station to explore some of the temple's buildings and then reboard the ropeway to continue your trip at no extra charge. It does not matter whether you will decide to make a stop at the middle while it's on your way to the top or on your way to the bottom.

You can also get a 3/4 way ticket which means that first you get all the way to the top (without getting off at the middle station). After you spend some time at the top, you will need to get off at the middle station and get to the bottom by walking down a 500 stone steps which takes around 15-20 minutes.
