Empty Japan

After exploring central Matsumoto, the second part of the day takes you out to Asama Onsen—a quiet hot spring town just a short bus ride away. Whether you're here for the full experience or just a relaxing soak, this section is all about winding down. You’ll find two onsen options to choose from, plus a couple of great cafés if you arrive early enough.

Use this location as your “how to get there” guideline. It marks the recommended bus stop to arrive at. Just tap “Directions to...” and follow the bus route suggested by Google Maps. There are usually a couple of options, with total travel time ranging from 20 to 30 minutes.
