Artist Point is one of the most iconic viewpoints in Yellowstone and one you absolutely shouldn’t skip. From the overlook, you’ll have an incredible view of the 308-foot Lower Falls as it crashes into the colorful Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. It’s one of the most photographed spots in the park, and the view is every bit as impressive in person.

The paved path from the parking lot is short and mostly flat, making this one of the easiest viewpoints in Yellowstone to reach.

Tips:
• Visit in the morning for softer lighting on the canyon and waterfall.
• The overlook can get crowded during the middle of the day, especially in summer.
• There are restrooms available near the parking area.
• Stay behind the safety railings and keep a close eye on children near the canyon rim.

Family Friendly: Yes. The short paved walk makes this an excellent stop for families and visitors of all ages. You get one of the best views in Yellowstone with very little walking.
