One of the Coromandel locals favourite swimming holes, tucked into the beautiful Kauaeranga Valley just outside Thames.

A great spot to combine with other walks in the valley, or to cool off after exploring the Coromandel.

📍 Drive 15 minutes along Kauaeranga Valley Road from Thames to the DOC Visitor Centre, then a further few minutes to the carpark. Short walk down to the pool from there.

💰 Free entry.

⚠️ Wear shoes you don't mind getting wet, and always check river conditions before swimming.
