Anatini is a fascinating place for anyone who loves to explore geology and ancient fossils. The site includes the fossilized bones of an ancient baleen whale that died millions of years ago. Visitors can take a short, 5 minute walk down a stepped walkway and across the farmlands from the Island Cliff-Duntroon Road to reach the site. Once there, visitors can marvel at the impressive honeycomb like lattices that can be seen on some surfaces of the limestone, as well as identify fossils that are thought to be up to 25 million years old. Anatini is also home to the Alps to Ocean Cycle Trail and is part of the Vanished World trail, making it a popular spot for adventurers.
