Located in the Southern part of Waitakere Ranges Regional Park, near Huai, Auckland is the Karamatura Falls Track. This 2.2 mile loop trail provides adventure-seekers with a moderately challenging journey full of unforgettable sights and sounds. Nature-lovers will enjoy birdwatching, camping, and enjoying the fresh scent of New Zealand's pristine wilderness. Be sure to visit the beautiful 15-meter high waterfalls during your trek too. The loop portion of the trail is currently closed, however, the back path is open and invitingly scenic. You'll need to take time between each breathtaking view as there are stairs present along the route. Lastly, due to its popularity, you're sure to encounter people while exploring but make sure you leave furry friends at home as dogs aren't permitted on the trail.
