The Mt John Summit Circuit Track is a 1.5-hour hike located in Tekapo, New Zealand. It features breathtaking views of Lake Tekapo and the Southern Alps in the distance. The track starts with an uphill forest walk that takes about 30 minutes to complete, followed by an exposed mountainside for another 15 minutes of trekking before finally reaching the summit. There, hikers are rewarded with 360° views from the top, along with the Mt John Observatory and Astro Café (the cafe doesn't have great food though FYI!)
