Short, wide waterfall easily accessed

Haruru Falls is a stunning natural wonder situated near Paihia, New Zealand. This powerful waterfall means ‘big noise’ in Maori and lives up to its name with its thunderous roar after heavy rain. Easily reached by a 50m walk from the Haruru Falls car park, the large viewing platform offers up close views of the waterfalls as well as providing plenty of photo opportunities during sunsets. Visitors seeking an adventure can also explore the Waitangi track which takes them through a beautiful forest along the river before they are welcomed by the large waterfall. Adventure seekers looking for an extra thrill can even try their hand at the rope swing which overlooks the falls. No matter how you choose to experience Haruru Falls, it is sure to be a fun and unforgettable experience.
