Awesome lookout for seal watching

The Ohau Point Lookout is a must-see on New Zealand's South Island! Located about 20 km north of Kaikoura, visitors can enjoy observing the area's fur seal colony in their natural habitat. Bring your binoculars and you're sure to get an up-close view - just be sure to keep your distance so you don't disturb them. Looking for even more thrills? Head another kilometer up the road and take a short walk along Ohau Stream Waterfall Track, where hundreds of pups make their way each winter and play in the stream! Summer brings courting season, so there's plenty to see! It's a great opportunity to get marvel at these wonderful creatures – and getting to watch pup fights is nothing short of adorable.
